About Me Renaissance, most of it, is new to us. One of those things we talked about for a long time, "Would be fun to do."

I have been making and selling Renaissance Rat (yes, pet rat) costumes for years. Now I am making costumes for Deron and I. I sell a few of the people items too. LOL

Books I found a great book to learn the Renaissance speak. You might find you really enjoy the book too. It is full of God vs Evil, Sex, Sex Scandles, and Violence and Sword Fights, Blood Scarifies, gods, Super Heroes, God, and of Miracles and Magic, War Horses, Chariots, Armor and Weapons, War Booty, Pillaging and Dragons, Unicorns, Armies and more.....in the end chapter the King of Kings will come on a White War Horse with a sword in hand. Read it in the King James Version, Renaissance Speak/Talk.

Hobbies Animals, Animals, Animals!! My husband and I both used to train and race as well as run and breed sled dogs. We have Team Penned and trail ridden and own and ride horses here on the prairie. We have been on REAL cattle drives. We have dogs that do tricks and tasks and agility and shed hunt (find deer antlers that the deer shed off their heads). We have small animals that do tricks and agility and more. We also breed rare breed rabbits.

Renaissance Rats

Deron and I have been interested in Renaissance Fairs for quite sometime. One of those things you talk about doing, but lif e gets in the way.

I have however been making pet rat Renaissance Clothes for years...Pirate Outfits with little swords and daggers, Princess Dresses, Robin Hood outfits, Jester Costumes complete with itty bitty bells, Wizard Clothes, and the like (as well as other costumes for them) I also make outfits for gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice and of course dogs.

I have or am starting to make Jousting Garb for toy horses, snoods, pouches, purses and Renaissance, as well as Pirate, costumes for Deron and I.

Along comes the "Ren Crew"..... we live way out on the Prairie, way out. One day we met Mindy and Joe here looking at land to set up a Renaissance Village. We have become friends with not only Mindy, but also Tom and Chris who now live in town here in this small town and hope to move out to this land soon....and put up a village.

So, there you go, you know it is meant to be when the village comes to you!! LOL
